A new residential oceanfront project is set to begin later this year in the thriving Windward O’ahu community of Kailua. Developer SL Development announced last month that they plan to start developing a waterfront property into a single-family home community.
The proposed four single-family homes of the neighborhood are expected to be started later this year and completed by 2020. They’ll feature undeveloped beachfront property and be set just 25 feet away from the shoreline.
The 1-acre property is situated at 144 Kaapuni Street, which was once owned by the prestigious Punahou School Kailua Cottage (a top-notch private school attended by Barack Obama), and was purchased by SL Development in 2008.
A location on the Kailua Bay between Kailua Beach Park and Kalama Beach Park couldn’t be more highly-desired by luxury home buyers. Plus, it’s just minutes from Kailua’s Windward Town & Country Plaza and the Mid-Pacific Country Club.
New Development Throughout O’ahu
Kailua isn’t the only community seeing new development. O’ahu is hot with new construction, especially around the Honolulu metro area. You’ll find luxurious new condos in Ala Moana, plenty of affordable townhomes and condos in Ewa, and diverse options throughout Kapolei and Makakilo.
